Backbone.ai

Backbone.AI came to us in February of 2020 (as many startups do) with a tight timeline to design and build a custom website for their product launch. We had 30 days. Backbone, at the time had a small but experienced team that could deliver everything we needed, when we needed it to keep the project on track. This is key to getting the highest quality product under tight timelines.

Design
We were able to start immediately on home page designs once we received a color pallet from Backbone. We use InVisions to collaborate with our clients on design. After a few rounds of revisions (less than a week) we had settled on the home page design.

Design & Develop
We handed that page off to our development team to get started building the WordPress theme while we went to work on interior page designs. The designs for the rest of the pages went quickly as most of the styles are determined by the home page. We handed off the interior pages to our dev team and went to work on completing the development of the WordPress theme files.

Graphics
Next step; Infographics. Backbone needed to create some good infographics to help customers visualize their product. Once we determined the design style of the infographics, we were able to keep them looking consistent and provided effective visuals to put a ribbon around the site.

Mobile
We set responsive rules for the theme so that mobile only templates would not need to be designed or developed. When working with a tight timeline, it’s advantageous to have designers and developers working on the same team to make sure that everything for desktop design is going to work well across all devices.

Ongoing Design and Development
As Backbone continues to grow, we continue to support both their design and development needs allowing them to scale their website to keep up with their growth.
